Perhaps you've chosen a major, but you're unsure of your options and you're feeling stuck.
Our career counselors can help you locate resources that will allow you to gather information about typical career paths for people with your major. Our career library, located on the second floor of the Bill Moore Student Success Center, has books such as the Encyclopedia of Careers and Vocational Guidance, Occupational Outlook Handbook and Dictionary of Occupational Titles.
Computer resources such as Sigi3 (create your own login & password and note it for future reference) and the Georgia Career Information System (GCIS) are also available. The GCIS username is "gatechcs" and the password is "gcis1906". Another helpful online tool provided by the US Department of Labor is O*Net Online. Each of these resources provides you with information about the nature of the work, educational requirements, salary information, outlook for the future, related occupations and much more.
Our career counselors will help you create an action plan as you identify next steps, whether you chose to attend graduate school or conduct a job search.
