Challenges and Opportunities at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division

Representatives of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) will be holding an Information Session on the Georgia Tech Campus to inform students about research and career opportunities at the warfare center and greater Navy Research & Development Establishment. The presentation will include an overview of the mission areas with emphasis on the work performed within the Science & Technology Department, including research into unmanned systems, machine learning, sensing, and signal processing. Opportunities include career opportunities, academic programs such as the SMART Scholarship for Service and Naval Engineering Education Consortium programs, and internship programs. Students are encouraged to bring CVs/Resumes, especially if graduating Spring 2018 or earlier. Located in Panama City, FL, the mission of NSWC PCD is to conduct Research, Development, Test, Evaluation, and Life Cycle Sustainment work within our assigned mission areas. These mission areas include Mine Warfare, Naval Special Warfare Systems, Diving & Life Support Systems, Amphibious/Expeditionary Maneuver, Warfare Systems, and other missions that occur primarily in coastal (littoral) regions. NSWC PCD is part of the Naval Sea Systems Command and Warfare Center Enterprise. The Warfare Centers are the Navy's principal research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) assessment activity for surface ship and submarine systems and subsystems.
