Karen Houston joined the Center for Career Discovery & Development (C2D2) at Georgia Tech as a Career Development Advisor in 2014. In the seventeen years prior to that she was an Academic Program Manager and Academic Advisor in the College of Architecture. She currently works with Aerospace Engineering, Computational Media, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Discrete Mathematics, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Neurosciences, and Nuclear & Radiological Engineering undergraduate students. Karen received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services from Mercer University. She is received her certification as a Global Career Development Facilitator in spring 2016. She is a member of the National Academic Advisor Association (NACADA) and involved with the Georgia Tech Academic Advisor Network (GTAAN).
